Job Summary

Plan, conduct, and direct a wide variety of research projects. Prepare and submit research results for publication in academic journals. Disseminate research results in seminars, colloquia, and conferences.

Minimum Education and Experience

Ph.D in a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience

Ph.D. in mathematics, with research experience in Algebra, Symbolic Computation, or related fields. Preference will be given to candidates who are knowledgeable about differential algebra and/or difference algebra. Previous experience with computer algebra software, such as Maple, would be helpful.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct research in topics relevant to the algebraic theory of differential equations and/or difference equations.
