Job Summary

The Psychological Sciences Area at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) seeks outstanding candidates with research expertise in developmental psychopathology, broadly construed. We are open to a range of
specialties related to developmental psychopathology, including candidates with expertise in the developmental periods of infancy or adolescence. Successful candidates must demonstrate potential for obtaining extramural research funding, excellence in teaching, and the ability to contribute through service.

A doctoral degree is required prior to joining, but those with ABD status will be considered at the application/interviewing stage.

Minimum Education and Experience

An earned graduate degree appropriate to the academic discipline and a record of productivity and professional achievement.

Preferred Education and Experience

Earned PhD in Psychology, Family Studies, Human Development, or a closely related academic discipline. Excellent, innovative research that would synergize with current faculty research, plus successful classroom experience in an institution similar to UT Dallas and a history of extramural funding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence.

Contribute assessment information and data as requested through the administration and the Assessment Team.

Participate in course evaluation surveys.

Establish and/or continue an independent line of research in psychology and contribute to a strong collaborative atmosphere among the faculty in Psychological Science, applying for extramural grants to support these endeavors. This will include mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students in laboratory research.

Prepare and teach two undergraduate and/or graduate courses per semester.

Service as appropriate based on research and teaching constraints.

Maintain contact with a diverse student population in the classroom and via electronic learning platforms (eLearning).
