Job Summary

The successful applicant will work in the Naveen Jindal School of Management’s Business Communication Center to provide communication and ESL support to JSOM graduate students and graduate faculty. Primary duties include one-on-one tutoring, workshop creation and delivery, ESL level assessments, and assisting the BCC Coordinator in the development of ESL communication outreach initiatives to graduate students and faculty. The successful applicant will also be responsible for administering JSOM’s Business English Immersion Program (BEIP).

Minimum Education and Experience

Master’s degree with concentration in the field of learning development; one year teaching or clinical experience in a field of learning develop mentor; any equivalent combination of education and experience not limited to teaching in a college or university setting.

Preferred Education and Experience

Master’s degree in Communication, English as a Second Language, or related field. TOESL or other ESL certification. Experience providing writing and speaking communication support to Asian-language students in an English educational or professional context. Professional experience in a communication-intensive corporate role. Administrative or operational experience in an educational setting. This position is designed for a skilled professional and a great communicator with a passion for student support. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills are required.
