Job Summary

To maintain and service all aspects of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Laboratory (NSERL) and the Bioengineering and Sciences Building (BSB). Maintain VAV boxes, heating water hydronics, chilled water controls and familiar with automated control systems.

Minimum Education and Experience

High school, GED or Trade School education; degree helpful. Must be a qualified Commercial HVAC Service Technician with a minimum of five years of experience with commercial HVAC systems. Possess State and Federal EPA certification. Ability to perform HVAC troubleshooting with commercial systems. Must have experience working on VAV boxes and have understanding of automated control systems. Exhaust experience helpful and understanding of Energy Management systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain and service all aspects of the heating, ventilation, and air condition systems in the NSERL and BSB buildings. Perform maintenance on hydronics systems and all components in steam and chilled water system. Must maintain VAV boxes, heating water hydronics, chilled water controls and be familiar with automated system controls. Must be able to troubleshoot problems working on commercial HVAC systems, and assist in maintaining systems. Ability to interact successfully with co-workers and supervisors.
