Job Summary

The Development Associate for Data Services reports to the Director of Data, Technology and Prospect Research and supports the Assistant Director of Data Services within the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. They will collaborate with the Directors of Development and other stakeholders within the University by ensuring data integrity as well as helping them understand the tools at their disposal. They will be responsible for data queries, data exports, data appends, and other updates to the Raiser’s Edge database.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree; one year of development office administration experience including supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of relevant education, training & experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As one of the primary points of contact between the Data Services team and the Directors of Development, the Development Associate supports and develops a relationship with the schools and units. They will support the fundraising efforts by:
•Ensuring clean and accurate data
•Maintain calendar for data integrity checks and special projects
•Pulling queries, exports, reports
•Providing ongoing software training to staff
•Process NetCommunity Event RSVPs (non-gift)
•Process NetCommunity sign-up requests and profile updates
•Process data requests for constituent changes
•Managing returned mail updates in Raiser’s Edge
The successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to adapt to new and changing technologies and the flexibility to learn as well as train others. They will need to be a self-starter who is well-organized and detail oriented. They must also have excellent interpersonal, time management and project management skills.
