Job Summary

This position entails maintenance of the student housing operations.

Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent; four years experience in general maintenance duties or trade school; licenses as required. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s license and a good clean driving record.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform assigned day-to-day repairs and emergency maintenance
Oversee work order process, assign, and ensure completion
Assist with the upkeep of grounds and buildings
Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems
Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps
Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems
Assist with the maintenance of grounds and property
Work independently or as a Team Member
Conduct minor and major repairs of all buildings and equipment
Perform preventive maintenance procedures on buildings and equipment
Communicate with the Housing Maintenance Coordinator when a proposed task will require a second person and/or specialized help
Set up rooms for activities or classes by moving tables, moving chairs, and setting up projectors and screens to support daily activities and special events residential areas
Perform general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance
Work well with minimal supervision
Respond to emergencies during scheduled work hours and after hours, including weekends, as needed. Work after-hours, weekends and on-call duties as assigned
Take readings from nominal equipment and make timely entry into appropriate log
Collaborate with team members and complete all facility team-based goals
Conduct regular inspections to determine areas that need attention and then perform the tasks
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
