Job Summary

Provide administrative support, event planning, business duties, invoices, academic confidentiality, filing, reception duties; deal with vendors, companies and students. Excel spreadsheets, access database and/or MS Excel spreadsheet functions, PeopleSoft applications. Be able to sort information in spreadsheets for data required.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and two years office administration or project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bachelor’s degree and two years office administration or project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Good customer skills. Like people. Student interactions, planning and executing activities for students and/or professionals in the ECS Student Services Suite, IPP and UTD Career Center. Interpret administrative decisions and policies; maintain records; prepare purchase orders and other expenditures; coordinate travel arrangements; maintain financial ledgers; maintain calendars and schedule meetings; compose routine correspondence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide administrative support of the Industrial Practice Program in business activities, invoicing, revenue and confidentiality of academic files. Event Planning and follow through. Sort information in spreadsheets for data required.

Some positions in this classification may supervise, interview and/or train student and other employees.

Strong background in time management and people skills, multitasking due to volume of varied activities.

Ability to greet guests, move guests from reception area to assigned advisor is important.
