Job Summary

Support undergraduate education, student advising and professional activities within the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences. Responsibilities include serving as front-line and initial contact person for students seeking advising services, responding to phone and email inquiries from current students and prospective students. Support student appointment scheduling and student registration including all advisor activities.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and two years office administration or project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and/or experience in a university customer-service-oriented environment. Familiarity with or ability to adapt computer skills required. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power Point a plus. Experience with PS financials, Orion, Onbase, and Extinguisher a plus.

Additional Information

Interpret administrative decisions and policies, maintain records, prepare purchase orders and other expenditures, coordinate travel arrangements, maintain calendars and schedule meetings. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and excellent customer service skills. Computer skills must allow for the ability to learn and maneuver between various computer operating systems used within the University. Will require knowledge of university structure and policies and procedures in the areas of travel, purchasing, and reconciling cost centers.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Work in an office environment. Some walking and minimal lifting.

Environmental Conditions:

Controlled a/c and heating.
