Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a college or university. Three years of related experience in financial, compliance, or audit roles or any equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least one year in audit or compliance.

Preferred Education and Experience

Master’s Degree in Business Administration
Certificate: CCEP
Juris Doctor
CPA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the AVP of OIEC with the development, oversight, and monitoring of compliance programs within the University.
• Conducts inspections of specific high-risk area risk monitoring plans and prepares internal reports regarding conclusions and recommendations that may result in improvement and/or corrective action.
• Conducts reviews of departmental operations and tests for compliance with University and other applicable policies and procedures.
• Conducts interviews, testing, analyses, and writes reports summarizing inspection and review assignments.
• Assists in the facilitation of institutional risk assessments.
• Assists in the investigation of hotline calls as needed.
• Prepares quarterly reports of incidents of noncompliance.
• Assists the Compliance Training Coordinator and serves as back-up when needed.
• Performs research of various compliance issues.
• Performs other compliance duties and special projects as assigned.
• Serves as a representative of the University, displaying respect, civility, professional courtesy, consideration of others and discretion in all interactions with members of the UT Dallas community and the general public.
