Job Summary

The overall responsibility of the Program Specialist I is to support the growth and continuous improvement of the BS and MS in Finance degree programs. Specific responsibilities and expectations will include: working closely with students in serving as a liaison between them and program faculty; providing mentorship to student on degree planning and career paths; planning, coordinating and attending events and activities to enhance the student experience, some of which may occur in the evening and on weekends; developing and implementing recruiting and enrollment strategies; creating and maintaining departmental data, including tracking job placements; maintaining alumni relations; and assisting with internships. Additional responsibilities to further the mission and learning outcomes of the program may also be assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, with a minimum of four years of experience in program/project development or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor degree in finance or a related business area with work experience in the finance industry. Masters degree preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
