Job Summary

As the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Development Technical Team Lead, you will serve as the application configuration and integration subject matter expert. This role will perform as the Lead Development Engineer on staff and will be responsible for ensuring that all ITSM development, code/application manipulation, and governance directed implementation guidance, is carried out. Moreover, you will ensure that proper documentation including the development metrics and roadmaps, standard operating procedures, process diagrams, and operational tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) are submitted for governance approval.

Minimum Education and Experience

-Bachelor’s degree with four (4) years related experience OR Associate degree with six (6) related experience OR High school or equivalent with eight (8) years related experience.

  • ITIL Foundations Certification.
  • Experience with Cherwell or other ITSM prevalent in higher education.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead ITSM development for Office of Information Technology and campus as needed.
  • Craft solutions to enhance our diverse set of custom applications and customers, leveraging out-of-box functionality or building from scratch
  • Listen to customers and create or enhance existing business processes
  • Schedule, track, and participate in all aspects scoping and development meetings, video teleconferences, conference calls, and working groups.
  • Ensure all changes are properly documented and processed in accordance with established processes.
  • Research and resolve ITSM operational issues while working to improve our processes
  • Ensure user inquiries are addressed in a friendly and timely manner
  • Work in coordination with OIT change and configuration management processes within the context of the further development, implementation, maintenance, operations, and maturity of the change and configuration management processes applying Industry standards, best practices and frameworks, which include: ITIL v2011, ISO/IEC 20000-1, DESMF, and the AESMF.
  • Ensure systems integration testing and functional integration testing.
  • Ensure all baseline changes are properly documented and processed in accordance with established processes.

Required Skills

  • More than 2 years of experience configuring and supporting and enterprise IT service management system
  • Applied ITIL and IT Service Management Processes in planning, execution, and management of the capability.
  • At least four years, hands-on use of the ITSM applications; ability to train in all ITSM applications and ability to understand, gather, and/or configure data for all sub elements of the application.
  • Proficient in the use and knowledge of enterprise ITSM application suite of products
