Job Summary

Will perform customer service duties for the Sign and Key Shop by assisting our customers with key, lock, door or signage issues/requests/information. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License, good clean driving record, and pass UTD background check.

Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of clerical or customer service work experience, preferably in functional area of position opening.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Will perform customer service duties for the Sign and Key Shop by assisting our customers with key, lock, door or signage issues/requests/information. Greet all phone and walkup customers in a friendly, professional manner; be tenacious in providing assistance and addressing any issues. Staff the Key Shop during normal business hours. Check keys in and out using the SimpleK database. Use the eCAT system for key requests, cut new keys, and enter data into SimpleK. Create AIM work orders using information from eCAT. Operate the key engraving machine, HPC and duplicating key machines, Best key punches. Pin A2 and A3 cores. Monitor and handle Key Request email address. Basic understanding of all door hardware. Other duties as assigned.
